abstandshaEarly Masterpieces on Paper, 1975-1990

The Haus am Waldsee, Berlin, presents the first international exhibition to focus on Eric Fischl's works on paper. It will be comprised of 50 exhibits many of which come from the artist's private collection and have never been on display.

The show surveys Fischl's highly important artistic period stretching from the mid-1970s up to 1990 in three thematic sections: Halifax, American Suburbia and St. Tropez. It is during this time Fischl rejects abstract painting and gains international recognition with his figurative art.
